How to exhibit

Submission procedure

If you feel that your work fulfils the West Wing Arts Centre’s exhibition mission and is in keeping with its exhibitions policy, please submit an exhibition proposal including a short statement of your current practice, curriculum vitae and six slides or photographs of your current work.

  • Please state the number of artworks you wish to exhibit and their approximate size. Please also include a stamped addressed envelope for the return of your portfolio.
  • All artists must submit work directly to the West Wing Arts Centre.
  • Artists can not see the selection committee on an individual basis.
  • No original art work will be accepted because the West Wing Arts Centre can not be responsible for any loss or damage to work.
  • All artwork submitted must be for sale – commission is taken at 30%.
  • Artwork is selected three times a year; we will respond to submissions within four months of receipt.
  • If you require your portfolio to be returned by a particular date, please specify this in your covering letter.
  • Each exhibition lasts approximately four weeks long with exhibition take down and installation taking place on a Monday to ensure that there is always works on display.

Our next submission deadline is 1st April 2009.

Notifying you of the outcome

The exhibitions programme is developed a year in advance, so please allow the team several months to consider your proposal. If your proposal has been successful, the team will contact you directly.
